The property rdfs:subPropertyOf is an instance of rdf:Property that is used to state that all resources related by one property are also related by another.

The rdfs:domain of rdfs:subPropertyOf is rdf:Property. The rdfs:range of rdfs:subPropertyOf is rdf:Property.

EXAMPLE:    hasSibling may be stated to be a subproperty of hasRelative. From this a reasoner can deduce that if an individual is related to another by the hasSibling property, then it is also related to the other by the hasRelative property.

The rdfs:subPropertyOf property is transitive.
